Standards

The requirements in production

Protective clothing for industry has to stand up to shift work and hard washing. We start with the basic requirements and add what the work demands, such as protection against sparks or cuts. Which standards the garments must meet follows from your risk assessment and the tasks.

EN ISO 13688
General requirements for protective clothing
EN 388
Protective gloves against mechanical risks
Range

The garments we suggest

Trousers and jackets that stand up to the workshop, and first aid and eye wash where needed. We adapt the range to the line and the shifts.

Clothing for the whole shift

Garments and a logo that stand up to dust, oil and industrial washing, and still look right when the year is over.

Questions

Questions we often get

What should we look for in workwear for industry and manufacturing?

Start with durability and fit: garments worn every shift must handle mechanical wear, frequent washing and constant movement. The baseline requirements for protective clothing are set out in EN ISO 13688, and your tasks decide which additional properties you need. We recommend workwear built for Nordic industry, not the cheapest option on the market.

What is multinorm workwear, and do we need it?

Multinorm workwear combines several protective properties in one garment, such as flame retardancy (EN ISO 11612), antistatic protection (EN 1149-5) and protection in welding (EN ISO 11611) or against electric arc (IEC 61482-2). It is relevant where employees face several risks at once, typically in welding, electrical work and process industry. On flame-retardant garments both the decoration and the thread must be approved for the garment, such as FR transfers or FR thread. We help you assess whether multinorm is necessary or standard workwear will do.

Does logo-branded workwear survive industrial laundry?

Yes, with the right method. Embroidery handles industrial laundry best and is the default for workwear that is washed hard and often. We recommend the method per garment based on how it will be washed, and the decoration holds up when the garment is washed according to its care label.

Can you supply protective equipment and gloves with our logo?

Yes, we supply protective gloves to EN 388, safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE, much of it with logo options. Your company gets one consistent look, and safety equipment becomes a visible part of the brand.

How do we make sure every employee always has the right workwear?

With assortment management in the company portal you define an approved range per role, and employees order within those limits. New hires are kitted out quickly, reorders run themselves, and you stop managing sizes in spreadsheets.
