The standards on jackets
If a jacket carries a standard, it tells you what the jacket can take.

- Protection against rain. Waterproofing and breathability in classes 1 to 4.

- Protection against cold, for work in low temperatures.

- Visibility. Hi-vis jackets have their own page under hi-vis clothing.

- On shell jackets with a membrane we recommend print, because embroidery makes holes in the membrane. Softshell without a membrane and fleece can be embroidered.

Questions we often get
Can you embroider a shell jacket?
Embroidery makes small holes in the membrane, so on waterproof shell jackets we recommend print. Softshell, fleece and lined jackets without a membrane can be embroidered.
Where does the logo go on a jacket?
Most often on the chest and large on the back. The sleeve is a good spot for a small logo or a name. You see the placement in a proof before we start.
What do the classes in EN 343 mean?
The standard has two figures: how waterproof the jacket is and how well it breathes, both in classes 1 to 4. Class 4 is best. For outdoor work in rain, both figures should be high.
