The Bather was created with inspiration from one of Kjell Engman's trips to the USA, where he was captivated by a performance in a church he visited, with women in a gospel choir singing and dancing. Since then he has in various ways immortalised that memory with women in glass. The sculpture from Kosta Boda's Art Collection is formed at Kosta Glasbruk and then hand-painted.
