The Bathing Woman was inspired by one of Kjell Engman’s trips to the USA, where he was captivated by a performance in a church he visited, with women in a gospel choir singing and dancing. Since then, he has immortalised that memory in various ways with women in glass. The sculpture from Kosta Boda’s Artist Collection is shaped at Kosta Glasbruk and then hand-painted.
